How to Showcase your past works..??

Recently I got 3 offers from startups to join but obviously, I couldn’t because I am building Athenasquare and I am very passionate about it.

While working, I have researched a lot about hiring industries and tried to understand the recruiter’s complex thought process by directly conversing with them.

I want to share with you all in few points. I am sure this will help you in your Interviews.

  • Well surprisingly, the recruiter’s thought process is fairly simple. They want to see your past work history before they call you for an Interview. They wanna see the work you have done already and the quality of that work to make sure they are calling the right candidate for the interview.
  • It’s all about how you showcase yourself maybe by writing blogs on Medium, sharing whatever you have built, participating in OSS, doing DSA or CP on LeetCode or CodeForces, or GeeksforGeeks and showcasing that to the world.
  • We need to understand that we should showcase ourselves. Showcase all our work that currently lies on the internet in your portfolio.
  • People say we have our resume for showcasing. Well, let’s be clear that your resume introduces you and does not showcase your work.
  • A common phrase in the market goes as “recruiter takes 6 secs to go through a resume”. So, why do you feel they will go in your resume and will click on your GitHub or LinkedIn or LeetCode link to see what have you done.
  • Believe me that never happens. Clicking on the links is done when you are being interviewed.
  • It would be best if you showcase yourself. Build your portfolio that has it all. One of my mentors Mr. Vimal Daga taught me very well, how to showcase ourselves.
  • The first step is to build your portfolio.

Go and check Athenasquare to get your website portfolio in just 5 minutes that showcase all your work on the internet and then apply for the jobs.
